Above is a beautiful photograph received from Perran Bay Care Home, showing a recent visit from the Registered Manager's new granddaughter. 100 years separate the oldest and youngest hands in this photo, but time and age were no barrier to making real connections with each other.
We want to celebrate and share the many great examples of care and support which are happening day in, day out across Cornwall. Here in our stories section we will be sharing stories that we have captured or which you have told us about. If you have great examples of care and support, and an accompanying photo, video or audio clip, please get in touch!
We are also working with Proud To Care South West to help promote the adult social care sector as a great place to work. Have a look at the Proud To Care South West website for inspirational stories, including a film with our very own trustee Chris Goode. You can view the film by clicking on the downloads link on the right hand side of this page or view in the window below.
Earlier this year CAHSC decided to celebrate and recognise the first care providers to receive an Outstanding rating from CQC by producing short videos to reflect the great work that they do. Working with See Change Films, we have produced three short films which give you a quick glimpse into the great work that they do and the experiences of those people they support. The films are of Perran Bay Care Home (the first care provider in Cornwall to be rated Outstanding), Bluebird Care (mid and West Cornwall) (the first homecare provider to be rated Outstanding) and Liskeard Eventide (an Outstanding residential care home), check them out in the links on this page.
